Power of the Deputy Commissioner.

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Deputy Commissioner may take such action, as he deems fit, without prejudice to the prosecution proceedings taken under this Act, to restore the original position of any paddy land reclaimed in violation of the provisions of this Act, and realize the cost incurred in this regard from the holder of the said paddy land, as the case may be, so reclaimed after giving him a reasonable opportunity of being heard.
