Chapter III OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY
Statutory text
- (1) The Director of Students' Welfare shall be a whole time salaried officer and shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Executive Council.
- (2) The Director shall work directly under the Vice-Chancellor and shall be responsible for handling all affairs connected with the students, such as accommodation, scholarship and freeship opportunities, medical facilities, extra-curricular activities, liaison between students and teachers, student counselling, job opportunities, placement of graduates and their other problems.
- (3) The Director shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as are laid down under this Act and as may be prescribed.
