The Indian Lunacy, Bombay District Municipal and Bombay Municipal Boroughs (Amendment) Act, 1936

This Act may be called the Indian Lunacy, Bombay District Municipal and Bombay Municipal Boroughs (Amendment) Act, 1936.

In sub-section (5) of section 81 of the Indian Lunacy Act, 1912, for the words "at his own expense to the place where he was taken in charge or to his ordinary residence" the words "to the place where he was taken in charge or to his ordinary residence, and such cost shall be paid out of the municipal fund or as the case may be out of the local fund of the district" shall be substituted.

(1) In sub-section (1) of section 54 of the Bombay District Municipal Act, 1901, after the word "establishment" the words "and the cost of the removal of criminal lunatics to and their maintenance in asylums" shall be inserted. (2) In sub-section (1) of section 71 of the Bombay Municipal Boroughs Act, 1925, after the word "establishment" the words "and the cost of the removal of criminal lunatics to and their maintenance in asylums" shall be inserted.
