The Female Infanticide Prevention (Amendment) Act, 1897

General18973 sections

This law amends the Female Infanticide Prevention Act of 1870 by shortening the time limits in two of its sections. It changes the period from two years to one year in both section 7 and section 8. The change is intended to make the legal process for preventing the killing of female infants more efficient by reducing the waiting period for certain actions, thereby allowing for quicker intervention and enforcement of the law.
