2. Extension of Act XXX of 1939 throughout the State of Maharashtra

The Commercial Documents Evidence Act, 1939, as in force immediately before the commencement of this Act in the Bombay and Vidarbha areas of the State of Maharashtra, is hereby extended to, and shall in virtue of such extension be in force in, the rest of the State of Maharashtra.
3. Amendment of section 1 of Act XXX of 1939
Statutory text
In the Commercial Documents Evidence Act, 1939, in section 1, in sub-section (2), after the word " States " at the end, the words " other than the Hyderabad area of the State of Maharashtra " shall be added. This Act may be called the Commercial Documents Evidence (Maharashtra Extension) Act, 1960.
