Definitions

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,—

1. (a) "appointed day" means the 11th May 1959 ;
2. (b) "panchayat" means the village panchayat having jurisdiction immediately before the appointed day over the area comprising the municipal district of Ambernath.
