Chapter VI MAHARASHTRA STATE COMMISSION FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Statutory text
- (1) There shall be a Council to be called as the Maharashtra State Rashtriya Uchhatrar Shiksha Abhiyan Council (hereinafter referred to as "RUSA").
- (2) The Council under sub-section (1) shall be a body corporate, having perpectual succession and a common Seal and may by the name sue or be sued.
- (3) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette specify the composition, functions and responsibilities of the council under sub-section (1), which shall be in conformity with the guidelines of RUSA of the Government of India: Provided that, every such notification shall be laid as soon as may be, after it is issued, before each House of the State Legislature.
- (4) The Council under sub-section (1) shall forward a yearly report of its activities, to the Commission under section 76.
