Statutory text
Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, arrangements shall be made by the officers of the Municipal Corporations to hold the Elections of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Acts and the rules thereunder, before, or as soon as possible, after the expiration of the term of office of the existing Mayor and Deputy Mayor which stands extended by this Act.
