Chapter I PRELIMINARY
Statutory text
- (1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra District Planning Committees (Constitution and Functions) Act, 1998.
- (2) It extends to whole of the State of Maharashtra, excluding the Scheduled Areas declared by the President of India, from time to time, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 6 of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
- (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by 1notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
