Jurisdiction of the Court

Every petition for declaring a marriage null and void under Section 6 shall be presented by any person mentioned in Section 4 before the family court or where a family court is not established, the court having jurisdiction of a family court within the local limits wherein,—

1. (a) the marriage was solemnized; or
2. (b) the respondent, at the time of the persentation of the petition, resides; or
3. (c) either parties to the marriage last resided together; or
4. (d) where the petitioner is residing on the date of presentation of the petition.
