  1. (1) Where a receipt issued by a warehouseman is lost, destroyed, torn, defaced or otherwise becomes illegible the prescribed authority shall, subject to rules made in this behalf, issue a duplicate receipt.
  2. (2) When a duplicate receipt is issued, it shall be clearly stamped "Duplicate" and shall be marked with the date of issue of the duplicate and that of the original available from the office of issue.
