Chapter III THE CHANCELLOR AND OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY

Statutory text

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

  1. (1) . The Chancellor may, if he considers it necessary, appoint a Pro-Vice Chancellor [27][from among a panel of names submitted to him by the Vice-Chancellor]
  2. (2) . No person who is more than fifty-six years of age shall be appointed as Pro-Chancellor.
  3. (3) . The Pro Vice Chancellor shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University. [28][(4) The appointment of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be coterminus with that of the Vice-Chancellor.]
  4. (4) [29] [The salary and the other conditions of service of the Pro-Vice Chancellor shall be such as may be prescribed by the Statutes.]
