This Act establishes Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala. It sets out the faculties the University covers, including medicine, dental, Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicine, law and education, and bodies such as University Extension Boards. It establishes its officers, including the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and its authorities.

  5. 12Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations, the powers and functions of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be determined by the Vice-Chancellor.

  3. 37No Statue providing for the conditions for, or procedure relating to, the affiliation of private colleges shall be passed by the Syndicate without the previous approval of the Government.

Chapter VII FINANCE →

  2. 47University Fund, the payment of moneys therein, the withdrawal of moneys therefrom and all other ancillary matters shall be regulated by the Statutes, Ordinances, rules and bye-laws made in that behalf.
