Bare Act
The KERALA LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY FEED AND MINERAL MIXTURE (REGULATION OF MANUFACTURE AND SALE) ACT, 2023
This Act regulates the production, storage, distribution, and sale of livestock feed, poultry feed, and mineral mixtures in Kerala to ensure they are safe and high-quality. It mandates that manufacturers and dealers obtain a license to operate and adhere to strict quality standards. The law prohibits the sale of adulterated, misbranded, or substandard feed that could harm animals. It establishes enforcement authorities, including Licensing Authorities and Feed Safety Officers, to inspect facilities, collect samples for analysis, and penalize violations. Ultimately, this legislation protects farmers and livestock owners by ensuring the feed they purchase is nutritious and free from harmful contaminants.
