Special provision

Notwithstanding anything contained in the principal Act, on the date of commencement of this Act, the existing members in office nominated under items (viii) and (xiv) of sub-section (1) of section 17 and under items (iv) and (v) under the heading ‘Other Members’ in section 19 of the principal Act, shall cease to hold their office by virtue of the provisions of this Act.
