Term of office

Term of office.—

1. (1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, the term of office of the members of a District Library Council shall be [five years] commencing from the date on which the Government notifies the constitution of the District Library Council in the Gazette: Provided that every member shall continue in office until his successor assumes office.
2. (2) A member of a District Library Council shall be eligible for re-election to the Council.
