Statutory text

(1) In section 6 of the Kerala Land Acquisition Act, 1961 (Kerala Act 21 of 1962), (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act),—
- (i) to sub-section (1), the following proviso shall be added, namely :— " Provided that no such declaration shall be made in respect of a land after the expiry of a period of two years from the date of the publication of the notification under subsection
(1) of section 3 in respect of such land.";
- (ii) after sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall be inser ted, namely :— "(3) Where no declaration under this section is made in respect of a land within the period specified in the proviso to sub-section (1), the notification under sub section
- (I) of section 3 in respect of such land shall be deemed to have been cancelled."
