Statutory text

(1) The Commission shall hold its sittings at such places and at such times as may be determined by it : Provided that the Commission shall hold its sittings in the respective district or districts declared as distress affected areas to consider matters relating to the distress affected areas.
(2) The quorum for the sitting of the Commission shall be three.
(3) The Commission may in appropriate cases it deems fit, hold sittings in districts by constituting a Bench consisting of two or more members: Provided that a member representing the farmer in the Commission shall be included in the Bench so constituted: Provided further that in case of the Bench constituted by the Commission, the quorum for the meeting of the Bench shall be the total number of members of that Bench or two whichever is less.
