A Statute passed by the Executive Council shall have no validity until it has been assented to by the Chancellor.

Ordinances.- Subject to the provisions of this Act, and the Statutes, Ordinance of the University may provide for all or any of the following matters namely:-

1. (i) the admission of the students to the University and its constituent Colleges;
2. (ii) the courses of study leading to all degrees, diplomas, and other academic distinctions of the University;
3. (iii) the conditions under which the students shall be admitted to the courses of study leading to degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions of the University;
4. (iv) designing examination system and evaluation system and implementing them for the constituent colleges;
5. (v) to prescribe the code of conduct of teachers and other employees of the constituent colleges;
6. (vi) the maintenance of discipline among the students of the University;
7. (vii) the fees to be charged for the various courses of study, research, experiment and practical training and for admission to the examinations for degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions of the University; and
8. (viii) any other matter which by this Act or the Statutes is to be made or may be provided for by an Ordinance.
