Chapter V OFFICERS OF THE UNIVERSITY

Statutory text

(1) The Governor of the State of Karnataka shall by virtue of his office be the Chancellor of the University.

  1. (2) The Chancellor shall be the Head of the University and shall, when present, preside at any convocation of the University.
  2. (3) No honorary degree shall be conferred by the University upon any person without the explicit approval of the Chancellor.
  3. (4) The Chancellor can exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred on him by this Act or the Statutes.
