Short title and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Bangalore City Civil Court Act, 1979.

1. (2) This section shall be deemed to have come into force on the thirty first day of August 1979, 1[clause (2A) of section 17 shall come into force at once] and the other provisions shall come into force on such 2[date] as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
