This Act establishes a dedicated City Civil Court for the city of Bangalore to handle civil disputes. It replaces the jurisdiction of lower district and local courts within the city limits, allowing the new court to hear all civil cases arising in Bangalore, except those reserved for the High Court or the Court of Small Causes. The court is headed by a Principal Judge and other judges appointed by the state government in consultation with the High Court. It operates under the direct control and supervision of the High Court of Karnataka to ensure proper administration of justice in the metropolitan area.
