Extension of Transfer of Property Act to agricultural land in Gulbarga Area and application of Chapter V of that Act to tenancies and leases

(1) The Transfer of Property Act, 1882 (Central Act V of 1882) shall extend to agricultural land in the Gulbarga Area, and the terms ―property‖ and ―immoveable property‖ in the said Act shall include agricultural land. (2) The provisions of Chapter V of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882, shall, in so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, apply to the tenancies and leases of lands to which this Act applies. (1) The Karnataka Land Reforms (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019(Karnataka Ordinance 3 of 2019) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal anything done or any action taken under the principal Act, as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under principal Act, as amended by this Act.
