Provided that nothing in this section shall affect any mortgage or charge created in respect of such holding.

Conditions for eligibility of conferment of ownership.- A mulgenidar or volamulagenidar shall be eligible for conferment of ownership right on him under this Act if he pays to the mulgar or intermediary an amount as may be determined by the Competent Authority under section 7, by taking into consideration such guidelines as may be prescribed.
