Jurisdiction of the University

The jurisdiction of the University shall extend to the entire State of Jharkhand and all colleges and institutions, by whatever name called, associated with technical education, engineering, technology, management, pharmacy, architecture, and applied sciences within the State shall be affiliated to the Jharkhand University of Technology. The University shall be open to all persons irrespective of class or creed: Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to require the university to admit to any course of study a larger number of students than may be determined by the Act. Provided further that nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent the University from making special provision for admission of students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Disabled, Women, & Economically backward section of citizens.
