Staff of the University

The staff of the University shall be appointed in accordance with the Statutes and Regulations of the University in the following manner: (i) teaching staff, (ii) non-teaching staff, as decided and approved by the State Government. If at any time, the Executive Council considers necessary to do so, it may, in consultation with the Academic Council, amend, add to or repeal the Rules by a special resolution in that behalf. provided that every such amendment, addition or repeal- (i) Shall be consistent with this Act, (ii) shall have no validity unless it is assented to by the chancellor. Explanation: For the purposes of this Act, a "special resolution", means a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Executive council convened for the purpose, by a majority of not less then three fourths of the members present and voting.
