49. Power to acquire land
Any land or any interest there in required by the Board for any of the purposes of this Act may be acquired under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act. 1894 ( Act of 1894 ) as amended in its application to the State which for this purpose shall be subject to the modification specified in the Schedule to this Act, and the acquisition of any land or interest therein for the purpose of this Act, shall deemed to be acquisition for a public purpose within the meaning of the Land Acquisition Act. (1-a) For the purposes of sub-section (1), land which is held with and attached to a horse and is reasonably required for the enjoyment and use of the house shall be deemed to be part of the house.

50. Power to purchase or lease by agreement
The Board may enter into agreement with any person for the acquisition from him by purchase, lease or exchange, or any land or any interest therein which may be acquired under Section 49: Provided that if the value of such land interest exceeds fifty thousand rupees, the Board shall not enter into such agreement without the previous approval of the Government.

51. Power to dispose of land.
Subject to any rules made by the government under this Act, the Board may retain, or may lease, sell exchange or otherwise dispose of any land, building or other property vesting in it and situated in the area comprised in Housing Scheme.
