Powers and fuctions of the Board of research Studies

Each Board shall have the following powers and functions, namely:—

1. (a) to consider and grant applications for registration for the research degrees in the light of the recommendations made by the Head of the Post-graduate Department concerned ;
2. (b) to appoint supervisors for the guidance of research studies ;
3. (c) to prescribe to maximum number of research scholars to be guided by an approved supervisor ;
4. (d) to submit to the Academic Council suggestions and proposals for organising or improvement of the research studies in the Cluster University ; and
5. (e) to consider any other matter referred to it by the Academic Council, the Syndicate and the University Council.
