The Act amends several provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Act, 1999. It changes section 8 to clarify who can convene and attend meetings of the Executive Council and Advisory Committee. Section 10 modification gives the University flexibility to review matters it considers important. Section 27 adds procedures for the Chancellor to preside over initial Executive and Academic Council meetings. Additionally, the Schedule amendment restricts certain authorities from exercising powers under Statute 3.
