Short title, extent and commencement

Short title, extent and commencement.--(1) This Act may be called the Prevention of Ribbon Development Act, 2007.

1. (2) It shall extend to the whole of Jammu and Kashmir State excepting the areas [other than roads maintained by the [Central Government or the Public Works Department of the State]] included within the limits of municipalities and town areas.
2. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, direct.
