Suits Cognizable by Adalat

Suits Cognizable by Adalat.-The Panchayati Adalat shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine all suits of the following nature, namely :--

1. (i) suits for money arising on contract, not exceeding one thousand rupees ;
2. (ii) suits for the recovery of movable property or for the value thereof, not exceeding one thousand rupees ;
3. (iii) suits for compensation for wrongfully taking or injuring movable property, not exceeding one thousand rupees ;
4. (iv) suits for damages caused by cattle trespass not exceeding one thousand rupees.
