  1. (1) This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Home Guards Act, 2006.
  2. (2) It extends to the 1[whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir].
  3. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force from the first day of Assuj, 2005.
