Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Jammu and Kashmir Excise Act, 1958. (2) It extends to the whole of the territories of the State. (3) It shall come into force in any local area within the said territories to such extent and from such date as the Government by notification shall direct.
