Housing Co-operative Societies.

The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to Co-operative Housing Societies registered in the *[Jammu and Kashmir State] before or after the commencement of this Act for the purpose hereinafter enumerated, namely :—

1. (i) purchase acquisition of land ;
2. (ii) land improvement ;
3. (iii) construction, re-building or repairing of houses ;
4. (iv) redemption of debts, incurred for any of the purposes mentioned in clauses (i) to (iii).
