This Act provides for the care, protection, treatment and rehabilitation of neglected children and the trial of delinquent children in Jammu and Kashmir. It sets up Child Welfare Boards for neglected children and Children's Courts for delinquent children. It provides for Children's Homes, Special Schools, Observation Homes and after-care organisations.
