Repeal and saving

(1) If immediately before the commencement of this Act, there is in force in the State any law, rule or order relating to the matter regulated under this Act that law, rule or order, as the case may be, shall stand repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, nothing in this Act shall affect validity, effect or consequence of anything done or suffered to be done under the said law, rule or order before the date on which the provisions of this Act come into force.
