Short title, extent and commencement

Short title, extent and commencement.-

1. (1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Weights and Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1968.
2. (2) It extends to the whole of Himachal Pradesh.
3. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act, or for different areas or for different classes of undertakings or for different classes of goods.
