Bare Act
The Haryana State Council for Physiotherapy Act, 2020
This Act establishes a statutory body known as the Haryana State Council for Physiotherapy to regulate the practice and education of physiotherapy within the state. It provides for the formation of a registered list of qualified physiotherapists, approves institutions that provide physiotherapy training, and sets out rules governing professional conduct, ethical standards, and the recognition of qualifications. The Council, comprised of government officials and experienced professionals, functions as a body corporate with its headquarters at Panchkula. By maintaining oversight of licensing and institutional standards, the legislation ensures that physiotherapists are competent and accountable, ultimately safeguarding public health and ensuring quality care for patients.
