Bare Act
The Haryana State Board of Technical Education Act, 2008
The Haryana State Board of Technical Education Act, 2008 establishes a statutory board and an apex Governing Council to oversee, regulate, and standardize diploma-level technical education across Haryana. It applies to all polytechnics and technical institutes offering diploma, post-diploma, and advanced diploma courses in engineering, technology, management, computer applications, pharmacy, and applied arts within the state. The law grants the Board authority to design curricula, grant or revoke institution affiliations, conduct standardized examinations, issue recognized diplomas, and enforce academic quality. For ordinary citizens and students, this law ensures that technical diplomas earned in Haryana meet state and national standards, protecting students from unaccredited institutes and guaranteeing that their educational qualifications are legally valid for employment and higher studies.
