Creation of Block

(1) The Government may, by notification, divide a district into blocks each of which shall comprise such areas as may be specified in the notification. (2) The notification under sub-section (1) shall specify the name of the block by which it shall be known and shall specify the local limits of such block. (3) The Government may by notification:- (a) exclude from any block or include in any block any village or Gram Panchayat; (b) divided the area of a block so as to constitute two or more blocks; or (c) unite the areas of two or more blocks so as to constitute a single block.
