This Act provides for the allowances and pension of members of the Haryana Legislative Assembly. It covers compensatory, constituency, sumptuary, office, secretarial and driver allowances, special provisions for the Leader of the Opposition and the Government Chief Whip, free travel by rail and State transport, medical facilities and pension for former members. It also addresses who pays income tax on these allowances.
