(1) The Bombay Civil Courts (Gujarat Amendment) Ordinance, 1988 is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act. 1. Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Bombay Civil Courts (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 2002.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. Amendment of section 16 of XIV of 1869 In the Bombay Civil Courts Act, 1869 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in section 16, for the words "fifty thousand rupees", the words "one lac rupees" shall be substituted. 3. Amendment of section 24 of XIV of 1869 In the principal Act, in section 24, for the words "fifty thousand rupees", the words "one lac rupees" shall be substituted. 4.
