Statutory text
(1) The State Government may appoint, by notification in the Official Gazette, the Commissioner as the Designated Authority for the area as specified in such notification. (2) The State Government may also appoint, by notification in the Official Gazette, any other authority or person as the Designated Authority as it deems fit for the area specified in such notification.
