Gujarat Contingency Fund Temporary Increase Act 1972

Finance19933 sections

The Gujarat Contingency Fund (Temporary Increase) Act, 1993 temporarily augmented the state of Gujarat's financial reserve for emergency expenditure. By temporarily overriding the 1960 parent legislation, this law increased the total allocation of the Gujarat Contingency Fund from fifty crore rupees to seventy-five crore rupees for the period between December 1, 1992, and March 31, 1993. This law directly enabled the executive government to access additional funds during state emergencies without prior legislative sanction, ensuring uninterrupted public administration and relief measures until formal legislative approval could be obtained.
