Statutory text
- (1) The disputes relating to the method of verifying, reverifying, adjusting or stamping any weights or measures or weighing or measuring instrument in any market area, such dispute may, at the request of the party interested, be referred to the Secretary of the Marketing Board and the decision of the Secretary of the Marketing Board shall, subject to the provisions of sub-section (2), be final.
- (2) An appeal shall lie, within the prescribed time limit, from the decision under subsection (1) to the Government or such officer as the Government may appoint in this behalf. The decision of the Government or such officer, shall be final.
