Responsibility of the heir apparent

(1) If the will is declared null and void after the payment of the legacy and the legacy has been satisfied in good faith, the heir instituted in the will shall stand discharged of his responsibility towards the true heir by delivering the remainder of the inheritance. (2) The preceding provision shall also be applicable to legacies subject to encumbrances.
