This Act shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.

2. Definitions Definitions In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, 1. “Government” means the Lieutenant Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi appointed by the President of India under Article 239 and Designated as such under Article 239 AA of the Constitution of India; 2. “Academic Council” means the Academic Council of the University; 3. “Academic Staff” means such categories of staff are as designated to be the academic staff of the University;
