Prescription of standards of education in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
The Delhi Council For Physiotherapy And Occupational Therapy Act, 1997(1) The Council may prescribe the minimum standards of education in physiotherapy and occupational therapy required for granting recognised qualifications in Delhi. (2) Copies of the draft regulations and or all subsequent draft amendments thereof shall be sent by the Council to the Government. (3) In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, the regulations may prescribe— (a) the nature and period of study and of practical training to be undertaken before admission to an examination; (b) the equipment and facilities to be provided for students undergoing approved courses of study; (c) the subjects of examination and standards therein to be attained; (d) any other conditions of admission to examinations: (4) The regulations shall be published in the official Gazette and in such manner as the Council may direct. (5) The Executive Committee shall, from time to time, report to the Council on the efficacy of these regulations and may recommend to the Council such amendments thereof as it may think fit.
