The Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Nidhi Sampariksha (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2003

1. (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Nidhi Sampariksha (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2020.
2. (2) It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh.
3. (3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

In the Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Nidhi Sampariksha Adhiniyam, 1973, (No. 43 of 1973), (hereinafter referred to as the 'Principal Act),-

1. (i) in Section 1, for sub-section (1), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Rajya Sthaniya Nidhi Sampariksha Adhiniyam, 1973.",
2. (ii) for the words "Local Fund Audit", wherever they occur, the words "State Audit" shall be substituted.

Amendment of Section 2.

1. (1) The words "Notified Area Committee" appearing in sub-section
   • (e) of section 2 OF the Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Nidhi Sampariksha Adhiniyam, 1973 (43 of 1973) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act) shall be omitted. (2) The words "or a Notified Area Committee" in proviso
     • (ii) of sub-clause
   • (g) of section 2 of the Principal Act shall be omitted. (3) The word "Nagar Panchayat" shall be added after the words "Nagar Palika Parishad" of sub-clause
   • (e) of section 2 of the Principal Act. (4) After proviso
     • (iii) of sub-clause
   • (g) of section 2 of the Principal Act, following shall be inserted-(iii-a) in case of a Nagar Panchayat-"the President". (5)

Amendment of Section 7 In the Principal Act, in Section 7,-

1. (1) in sub-section (1), for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "twenty five thousand rupees" shall be substituted; and
2. (2) in sub-section (3), before the words "by the sanction" and after the words "show cause", the words "within thirty days" shall be inserted.

In the Principal Act, in Section 8-A, for sub-section (i ), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(1) The annual report of the Director, State Audit, in relation to the audit of accounts of the bodies as referred in Schedules of sub- section

1. (1) of Section 4 and sub- section
2. (3) of Section 2l of the Adhiniyam shall be submitted to the State Government (Finance Department)."

For the word "Commissioner" in clause

1. (c) of sub-section ( i ) ci secrion 12 of thc Principal Act shall be subsriturcd by the words "Board of Revenue".

In the Principal Act, in Section 7,-

1. (1) in sub-section (1), for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "twenty five thousand rupees" shall be substituted; and
2. (2) in sub-section (3), before the words "by the sanction" and after the words "show cause", the words "within thirty days" shall be inserted.

In the Principal Act, in Section 8-A, for sub-section (1), the following shall be substituted, namely:- "(1) The annual report of the Director, State Audit, in relation to the audit of accounts of the bodies as referred in Schedules of sub-section

1. (1) of Section 4 and sub-section
2. (3) of Section 21 of the Adhiniyam shall be submitted to the State Government (Finance Department)."
