Bare Act
The Chhattisgarh Special Courts Act, 2015
This Act creates special corruption court system across Chhattisgarh state to ensure faster, more specialized prosecution of criminal misconduct and related offenses. The law establishes special courts presided by Sessions or Additional Sessions Judges who hear cases based on government declaration when corruption is suspected. These courts can initiate proceedings directly upon receiving complaints or police reports, bypassing normal transfer procedures. The declaration automatically transfers pending cases from regular courts to these specialized courts and allows property seizure. The Act applies throughout the state and operates alongside the Prevention of Corruption Act, making it easier to investigate and try corruption cases efficiently.
